On 11th August we were joined by the amazing Chaps Choir for a joint concert at Museum Street Methodist Church. The "Chaps" had come to Suffolk specially to perform with Suffolk Soul Singers and they produced a brilliant first half to the evening with a range of contrasting pieces, including their very special rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," Dylan's, "I Shall Be Released" as well as the humorous "A Drop of Shanty" - A Sea Shanty for metropolitan urbanites! The second half of the evening featured a varied programme from Suffolk Soul Singers, including our first performance of Aretha Franklin's "Until You Come Back to Me." A fitting, powerful finale to the show saw SSS and Chaps Choir come together to perform the anthemic "You're the Voice," with both Dom and Andi directing. A great way to end a very special concert!
